Filton Library, located at the Shield Retail Park, has closed for a six-week long internal refurbishment.
The library closed its doors on Wednesday 11th April and will re-open at 9:30am on Monday 21st May.
The work will include upgrading the shelving, re ordering the internal layout and incorporating the meeting room into the main library.
The refurbishment is being funded through a Section 106 developer contribution from Hewlett Packard.
The library’s extensive programme of regular events, which includes reading groups, rhyme and story time, free computer courses and a knitting group, will resume following the re-opening.
