South Gloucestershire Council has launched a consultation on proposals to introduce double yellow lines on public streets within the North Bristol Park in Filton.
The Council says it needs to take action because of the high level of on-street parking within the estate, which can cause access problems for delivery vehicles, especially those requiring emergency access to the NHS Filton Blood Centre.
The presence of a licensed mobile burger van that operates within the estate is said to contribute to the problems because its customers park their vehicles nearby.
If approved, the double yellow lines will be installed on both sides of all adopted roads within the business park, including the slip roads leading to and from the A38 Gloucester Road.
Other measures being considered by the Council include the introduction of a mini-roundabout, which would stop vehicles from carrying out U-turns to get back onto the northbound A38.
The consultation runs until Wednesday 29th February 2012.
